About Claudia
I am a psychotherapist with over ten years of training. I graduated from the Columbia University School of Social Work in 2011. Post graduate school I practiced in hospital and outpatient psychiatric clinic settings with a diverse clientele of individuals of different ages, cultural backgrounds, sexual orientations and professions. I meet clients where they are at and am committed to being emotionally present, non-judgmental, and welcome feedback to make the therapeutic process a positive experience. Throughout the course of my career, I have successfully helped clients identify the life they would like to live and accomplish the goals they strive for. In my work, I implement a self-psychology psychoanalytic approach which leads clients to understand themselves by exploring desires & impulses that are often hidden in their unconscious. I am also trained in cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, which is helpful to change unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns, and improve relationships. My clients improve their ability to manage emotions, heal from past traumas, increase their self-awareness, and improve self-love!
I have made a commitment to helping adults in their healing journey and empower them as they heal from past trauma, improve self-esteem, overcome self-critical beliefs, improve self-love and find supportive and loving relationships. I work with men and women of all cultural and religious backgrounds, sexual orientations, socioeconomic status, and all walks of life. I specialize in addressing relational issues and healing from anxiety, depression, trauma, low self-esteem and confidence and narcissistic abuse. I am also fluent in Spanish and able to conduct therapy in Spanish.
